The West Clearview Drive (Route 3006) bridge replacement project is located over Trout Run in Shrewsbury Township, York County. The purpose of this project is to provide continued safe and efficient crossing of West Clearview Drive over Trout Run.
The overall geometry of the bridge will not be affected by the project. The proposed roadway curb to curb width will remain similar to the existing conditions with 11-foot lanes and 3-foot shoulders. There will be minor approach work including new pavement, guide rail and signing upgrades. The stream will be bypassed with a temporary pump-around during construction.
This section of West Clearview Drive has an average daily traffic volume of 2,326 vehicles per day.
The bridge will be closed for approximately 2 months to all traffic during construction. A single detour for both car and truck traffic is anticipated. The detour has an approximate length of 8.5 miles and will use Route 3001 (Susquehanna Trail), Route 216, and Route 616. Please refer to the project’s Detour Plan graphic.
There are overhead utilities in the vicinity of the project that will be relocated for bridge construction.
The project is currently in design, and construction work is anticipated to begin in Summer 2027 and last approximately 4 months.
The purpose of the plans display is to introduce the project and solicit public input, questions, or concerns regarding the project.
