The proposed scope of work for the SR 13 bridge over Newbold Road and conrail includes waterproofing the deck surface, an asphalt overlay along the deck and approach slabs, rocker bearings reset, and installing asphaltic plug joints over all expansion joints. Additional work includes repairs to the deck spalls and cleaning and flushing all scuppers. Roadway work includes tapering the overlay off the structure to meet the existing roadway surface and raising existing grates to meet overlay roadway surface.
During construction, traffic will be maintained using two stages of short-term traffic control on Bristol Pike (Route 0013). No temporary construction easements will be required.
Traffic Impacts
During construction, traffic will be maintained using two stages of short-term traffic control on U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike). During the short-term traffic pattern, two ramp detours will be utilized. The anticipated detour for the U.S. 13 Southbound on-ramp is 5.1 miles, and the route utilizes Tyburn Road, U.S. 1, and Old Bristol Pike. The anticipated detour for the U.S. 13 Northbound on-ramp is 2.0 miles, and the route utilizes Tybrun Road, Business U.S. 1 and Newbold Road.
No temporary construction easement will be required.
