Work on this $2.5 million project will include demolition and reconstruction of the existing concrete arch section of the rigid frame structure, minor approach roadway work on Country Club Drive, and asphalt roadway repair on Route 19. Country Club Drive which is currently closed, will remain closed and detoured during majority of the project. Route 19 will be restricted to a single-lane of traffic in each direction underneath the structure through majority of the project. There will be a Saturday day-long closure, a Sunday day-long closure and detour of Route 19 for demolition activities and temporary bracing/falsework construction. Additionally, a full weekend closure and detour of Route 19 will occur for the removal of temporary bracing/falsework. The overall project is anticipated to conclude in October 2026.

Detour

The current detour for Country Club Drive will remain in effect until construction has concluded in October 2026. The detour length is approximately 2.3 miles long utilizing McMurray Road and Old Washington Road.

Construction activities will require two weekend closures and detours of Route 19 (Washington Road): one at the beginning of construction in the spring and one toward the end of construction in the summer. Separate car and truck detour routes are required. The car detour length is approximately 8.5 miles long utilizing Boyce Road, Mayview Road, Lesnett Road, and McLaughlin Run Road. The truck detour length is approximately 26 miles long utilizing Boyce Road, Washington Pike, Interstate 79, Interstate 376, Saw Mill Run Boulevard, and West Liberty Avenue. Otherwise, Washington Road will be restricted to two travel lanes (one in each direction) through the project area during construction of the project.
