The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is developing plans for a project that includes the replacement of multiple bridges on Route 1017 (New Baltimore Road) in Allegheny Township, Somerset County.

The project consists of the replacement of six bridges along the route with minimal approach roadway work. During construction, current plans are for traffic to use a detour during both the 2028 and 2029 construction seasons to allow the contractor full access to the bridges.
