County: Washington
Municipality: East Finley Township
State Route: 3009
Local Name: Cracraft Road/Sunset Beach Road
Project Type: Bridge Replacement
MPMS Number: 74234
Proposed Construction Start: Spring 2029
Proposed Construction End: Fall 2029
Last Updated: 11/05/2026

This project is located in East Finley Township, Washington County. The project consists of the complete replacement of the existing single span structure with a single span galvanized plate girder structure. Approach roadway work will consist of approximately 200′ of roadway reconstruction to the south and approximately 175′ of roadway reconstruction to the north.

Approximately 200’ of Route 3027 (Chapel Hill Road) will be reconstructed to tie into the adjusted profile of Route 3009, due to the location of the intersection immediately adjacent to the bridge. The roadways will be reconstructed on the existing horizontal alignments, and the roadway profiles will be raised to accommodate a slightly higher structure. The proposed roadway typical section will consist of 11′ lanes and 4′ shoulders. Traffic will be maintained via detour.
