    PennDOT is investing NEVI funds to expand the EV charging network through three focus areas—Corridor Connections, Community Charging, and Critical Investments. PennDOT’s vision is to strategically deploy charging stations to support the development of convenient, accessible, reliable, and equitable EV charging across the Commonwealth. The Community Charging funding opportunities will be for the Community Charging focus area, in accordance with the 2025 PA NEVI Plan.

    The Community Charging funding opportunities will focus on deploying Charging Stations in communities and other prioritized locations in accordance with the priorities developed by transportation planning agencies throughout Pennsylvania and submitted to PennDOT.

    More details regarding the first Community Charging funding opportunity may be available in winter 2025-26. Please check back for updates.
