The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is developing plans for the 37th Street bridge rehabilitation project over the Norfolk Southern Railroad in the City of Altoona. The project will include the replacement of the existing joints over the piers, substructure repairs, and an epoxy deck overlay.  It will also include minor approach paving and guiderail updates.

Project Detour Information

Detour Dates: April 2027 to June 2027 - 8 to 10 weeks
Detour Route: 37th Street to Beale Avenue to Route 4003 (Logan Boulevard) to Route 764 and back to 37th Street.
