This project is located at the intersection of Lancaster Avenue and Remington Road in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 6-0 identified this intersection as a high-crash location. To improve safety at the intersection, roadway widening to accommodate left-turn lanes on Lancaster Avenue is proposed. In addition to left-turn lanes, the project will install new traffic signal equipment and ADA-compliant curb ramps.

The purpose of the project is to reduce the number and severity of potential crashes at the intersection.
