Trevose Road over Poquessing Creek Bridge Repairs

Project Overview

County: Bucks County
Municipality: Lower Southampton Township
State Route: Route 2043
Local Name: Trevose Road
Project Type: Bridge Repairs
MPMS Number: 113813
Last Updated: October 2025

The proposed scope of work for the Trevose Road bridge over Poquessing Creek includes a Latex Modified Concrete (LMC) overlay, resealing of the deck joints, substructure crack repairs, and concrete repairs to the underside of the deck. Spall repairs will be made to the barrier, and the missing metal bridge railing on top of the concrete barrier will be replaced. Overgrown vegetation will be cleared from the approaches and rock protection will be placed at the east abutment wingwalls to mitigate erosion. Roadway work will include milling and overlay. There will not be any modifications to the existing guiderail or the guiderail connections to the bridge barrier.

Due to the nature of the project, the bridge will need to be closed and detoured. The anticipated detour is 2.0 miles, and the route utilizes Routes 532, 2040, and 132. No temporary construction easements will be required.
