This is a project to repair the centerline joint for a portion of the northbound and southbound lanes for Interstate 79 in Lake Township, New Vernon Township and Deer Creek Township, Mercer County.
The work area runs from Fredonia Road (Route 1004) bridge over Interstate 79 near mile marker 126 to the Crawford County line near mile maker 136.
The proposed project includes milling out the deteriorated and cracked sections between the lanes of traffic and replacing the asphalt.
Work is expected to start in August 2026 and to be completed in October 2026.
Traffic will be controlled by temporary, daylight lane closures.
