The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is beginning construction on the Route 3104 (Mt. Airy Drive) Section 02B over U.S. 219 Bridge Rehabilitation Project in Richland Township, Cambria County.

The project will involve the complete replacement of the bridge superstructure (the deck, girders, and beams above the substructure) and repairs to the substructure (the columns, abutments and/or foundation that carries the bridge load). Minor approach roadway paving to tie into the structure along with guide rail updates will be included.

Mt. Airy Drive traffic will use a detour for the duration of construction to allow the contractor full access to the bridge. Short-term overnight detours of U.S. 219 will be utilized for work activities related to bridge demolition and beam erection.
