The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to an in-person and virtual plans display regarding the Route 1034 (Pine Tree Road) Structure Replacement Project over a Branch of Harvey’s Creek in Lake Township, Luzerne County.

The project consists of the replacement of the existing structure located on Route 1034 Section 350, carrying traffic over a Branch of Harvey’s Creek, including approach roadway replacement and upgraded guiderail and end treatments. The existing 8’-0” stone arch culvert will be replaced with an 8'-0" x 5'-0" precast reinforced concrete box culvert. The proposed roadway will consist of 2 – 10'-0" travel lanes and 2'-0" shoulders.

Traffic Control

A detour for Route 1034 (Pine Tree Road) will be required to perform the proposed work. Route 1034 traffic will use a 2.4-mile detour following T-779 (Loyalville Road) and Route 1057 (Hickory Tree Road). The detour is expected to last approximately 4 weeks during construction.
