The Marshal Road Bridge Replacement project is in the Preliminary Engineering phase. The project will replace the Marshall Road Bridge, a dual structure four-span bridge, over Cobbs Creek in Upper Darby Township/City of Philadelphia. The structure carries Marshall Road over Cobbs Creek and Cobbs Creek Park. The purpose of the project is to maintain a safe and efficient crossing for Marshall Road over Cobbs Creek.
Public Outreach
As part of PennDOT's public outreach program, the department provided a Plans Display at the Township building in Upper Darby, PA, and at the entrance hall of Cobbs Creek Community Environment Center (CCCEC) in Philadelphia, PA. The plans were on display from October 6 thru October 28. A comment period coincided with the plans display period.
Additionally, the department anticipates holding a live virtual public meeting in the spring of 2026.
