The project is located on the bridge that carries Bakerstown Road over CSX railroad, approximately 750 feet east of Valencia Road/Hillcrest Drive and approximately 700 feet west of Station Hill Road. The project consists of bridge rehabilitation activities to include deck replacement, expansion dam replacement, approach slab installation, bearing replacements with pedestal retrofits, steel repairs, zone painting of the steel beams beneath the expansion dams, concrete substructure repairs, and protective fencing replacement. Approach roadway work includes resurfacing to tie the existing pavement into the new approach slabs and deck, drainage repairs, updated guide rail and barrier connections, embankment widening in the southeast quadrant to accommodate pedestrian access onto the bridge sidewalk, pavement markings and signage. It is anticipated that work will begin in the spring of 2028 and will last into the fall of 2028.

Detour Information

An eleven (11) mile detour will be required to facilitate the project with an anticipated closure time of five months (April to August). Additionally, a separate truck detour will required for the same duration.
