    The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is currently in the preliminary engineering phase of replacing the existing bridge carrying Route 4001 over I-80. This work will also include raising the existing roadway profile and all associated approach roadway reconstruction in Beaver Township, Clarion County. The existing bridge structure is deteriorated, was built in 1965 and was last rehabilitated in 2008.

    Project details include a total structure replacement, providing a new two-span continuous steel plate girder superstructure. Providing new center wall pier, integral abutments, approach slabs, and elastomeric bearings. Upgrading to MASH compliant barriers at bridge approaches. Avoiding environmental impacts and minimizing property and utility impacts.

    • Head south on Route 4001, turning right onto Route 2007
    • Continue north on Route 2007, turning right on to Route 208
    • Continue east on Route 208, turning right on Route 322
    • Continue east on Route 322, turning right onto Route 66
    • Continue south on Route 66, turning right on Route 4001

    Southbound Route 4001 Detour:

    • Head north on Route 4001, turning left on Route 66
    • Continue north on Route 66, turning left onto Route 322
    • Continue west on Route 322, turning left onto Route 208
    • Continue west on Route 208, turning left onto Route 2007
    • Continue south on Route 2007, turning left on Route 4001
