    The SR 1030 Section P62 project involves replacement of the SR 1030 (Church Road) culvert over Harveys Creek in Lake Township Luzerne County, PA. The project proposes replacing the existing stone and concrete culvert  with a concrete culvert.  The project also includes realigning SR 1030 at the location of the culvert to increase sight distance and reduce the curvature of the road. The culvert replacement and roadway realignment will require a detour of SR 1030 (Church Road)

    The project is expected to be built under a detour of SR 1030. The detour will use Church Road, Schoolhouse Road, Lakeside Drive and Lehman-Outlet Road. The length of the detour is approximately 5.5 miles.

    Historical or cultural resources present within the vicinity of the project site include the Hollenback-Urquharts Grist Mill site (36LU0356). However, the portion of the site identified inside the project limits does not contribute to its overall National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) eligibility.  The project will have no adverse effect on these resources and no other site resources will be impacted as part of the project..

    A virtual plans display that includes digital picture boards and an online comment form will be made available to the public from December 23, 2024 to January 21, 2025.

    The public comment period, where the community was encouraged to respond with questions and concerns was from December 23, 2024 to January 21, 2025.​
