    This project consists of the replacement of the U.S. 119 Bridge over Pine Run in Indiana County. The bridge is located in East Mahoning Township, about 0.25 miles north of Route 403. The bridge was constructed in 1925 and widened along both sides in 1954. The bridge carries approximately 4,650 vehicles per day over Pine Run. The travel way consists of two 12’ lanes, 8’ shoulders, and has evidence of Amish traffic. The speed limit across the bridge is 55 MPH.

    The project will focus on replacing the existing bridge with a single-cell  precast box culvert. The proposed structure will allow for two lanes of traffic. Minimal approach work on the roadways will occur. The structure will be constructed utilizing a temporary road to maintain two lanes of traffic during construction.
