This project is for the reconstruction and realignment of Route 422 from Route 2012 (Silvis Hollow Road) to Route 2007 in Kittanning Township, Armstrong County. Work will involve horizontal and vertical realignment of Route 422, the realignment of several intersections, the addition of turn lanes at these intersections and reconstruction of the truck climbing lane.
The study team is currently developing the Purpose and Need Statement and conducting the Alternatives Study. Environmental investigations and other field studies are also underway.
A Public Meeting is anticipated for Fall 2026 to present project information and gather public input. Invitation letters will be mailed to property owners and stakeholders within the study area, and meeting details will also be posted on this page as they become available.
