    The project is located in the city of Scranton and Dunmore Borough in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. The project includes the replacement of deteriorated concrete pavement with asphalt pavement for all lanes in each direction for about 2 miles of Interstate 81  between the President Biden Expressway  (Exit 185) and the Drinker Street interchange (Exit 186). The project also includes pavement replacement for about 2 miles of Interstate 84 / Interstate 380  between PA Route 435 and the I-81/Casey Highway (Route 6) Interchange. The project includes all ramps associated with the Drinker Street interchange, Tigue Street interchange, and the I-81/I-84/Casey Highway (Route 6) interchange. The existing bridges and retaining walls will receive maintenance repairs. Barriers and guide rail will be updated to meet the current standards. A new area-wide Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) will be implemented. Additionally, the project includes approximately 2 miles of concrete pavement restoration on Interstate 81  between the I-81//Casey Highway (Route 6) interchange and the Olyphant Avenue overpass.
