Project Description

This is a project to repair the bridge on River Road (Route 2002) over Coleman Run Creek in Barrett Township, Forest County.

The project will include replacing the upper portion, or superstructure, of the bridge, including the existing steel bridge beams, concrete deck and barriers, and guiderail. Work will also include minimal paving on each side of the bridge. 

The existing structure was built in 1962. It is rated in poor condition and is posted with a 19-ton weight limit. It is used by approximately 100 vehicles a day, on average.  

Proposed Traffic Impacts

One side of the bridge will remain open at all time with traffic will be controlled through the use of temporary signals.
