King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that roadway construction will close Route 73 (Church Road) and Greenwood Avenue under a $10.8 million project to improve traffic flow and safety on both state highways in Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County.
Drivers are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Thursday May 21, through Monday, August 3, Route 73 (Church Road) will be closed and detoured weekdays, 24 hours a day, between Rices Mill Road and Bent Road. During the weekday closure, drivers will be directed to use Easton Road, Route 309, and Washington Lane to access Route 73 (Church Road).
- Thursday, May 21, through Monday, August 3, Greenwood Avenue will be closed and detoured weekdays, 24 hours a day, between Spruce Lane and Barker Road. During the weekday closure, drivers will be directed to use Rices Mill Road and Township Line Road to access Greenwood Avenue.
