Route 4038 Layton Road Bridge Short-Term Closures Scheduled in Fayette County

Uniontown, PA—Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing short-term daytime closures of Layton Bridge on Route 4038 (Layton Road) over the Youghiogheny River in Perry Township, Fayette County.

The closures are scheduled to begin Monday, December 15, and will occur daily from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM, through Friday, December 19. All work depends on weather and operations.

A detour will be posted:

  • Route 4038 (Independence Street)
  • Route 4017 (Liberty Street/Cemetery Road)
  • Route 201 (Flatwoods Road/Main Street)
  • Route 1010 (Dickerson Run Road/Front Street)
  • Route 819 (Dawson Road/Main Street/Second Street)
  • Route 1041 (River Road/School Road)
  • Route 1002 (Banning Road)
  • Route 4038 (Layton Road)

District 12 inspection staff will be completing the bridge inspection of the Layton Bridge.

Remain alert and follow the posted signs and speed limits. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
