Project Overview
County: Montgomery
Municipality: Lower Pottsgrove Township
State Route: Route 4028 and Route 4025
Local Name: Pleasant View Road, Linfield Road
Project Type: Bridge Replacement
Last Updated: May 2025
This project involves replacing the existing bridge that carries Pleasant View Road over Sanatoga Creek. The proposed work also includes roadway reconstruction, guide rail and drainage improvements, and improvements at the intersection of Pleasant View Road and Linfield Road.
The existing structure was constructed in 1931 and is in poor condition overall. To provide additional clearance over Sanatoga Creek and improve the Pleasant View Road intersection with Linfield Road, the bridge will be replaced with a slightly enhanced horizontal alignment and a slightly raised profile grade.
The existing 50-foot, single-span structure will be replaced with a slightly longer (58.5-foot) single-span structure. The structure width will be increased from an existing 23’ roadway width to a proposed 30’ width.
Monday, May 19, through Thursday, January 8, 2026, Pleasant View Road will be closed and detoured 24/7 between Sanatoga Station Road and Linfield Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use High Street, Rupert Road, Evergreen Road, and Linfield Road.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.
