The Route 6 bridge replacement project proposes replacing the existing bridge with a precast concrete arch culvert. The roadway will be widened to accommodate two 12-foot lanes with one 8-foot and one 10-foot shoulder. No additional roadway improvements are anticipated with this project. Utility conflicts are not anticipated for this project. Temporary right-of-way easements are anticipated at the four corners of the bridge.
No significant historical or cultural resources are present within the project site. Wetlands are not present within the project limits. Other environmentally sensitive resources will not be affected by the project.
The bridge replacement will be done with a single lane to remain open over the bridge. The single lane will be controlled with temporary signals. During construction the entrance to Pinebrook Road will be closed. Construction is expected to be completed in the Fall of 2027.
