This project is meant to improve safety at two intersections within the District. The locations are the intersection of Lewis Avenue with Pennsylvania Boulevard/Park Street in the City of Jeannette, Westmoreland County, and the intersection of Bebout Road with Bower Hill Road/Froebe Road in Peters Township, Washington County. A flashing beacon will be installed at each location. The flashing beacon will alert motorists of an all-way stop ahead. This will decrease the chance of a crash. Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2026 and last through Fall 2026. Work will be completed using single-lane closures with flaggers. No detours are anticipated for this project.
