Detour to begin June 15 for Route 994 (Old Plank Road) Bridge Replacement Project in Todd Township, Huntingdon County     

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is informing drivers of a detour planned for Route 994 (Old Plank Road) in Todd Township, Huntingdon County.

From Monday, June 15, to approximately Friday, June 26, 2026, contractors will implement a 16-mile detour of Route 994 (Old Plank Road) for a bridge project over the unnamed tributary of Great Trough Creek near the intersections of T-361 (Newburg Schoolhouse Road) and T-378 (Paradise Road).

The detour will use Route 3019 (Logging Road/Cooks Road), Route 913 (North Main Street/Railroad Avenue/Main Street/Barnett Road), and Route 3001 (Little Valley Road).       

As always, PennDOT stresses extra caution in all work zones. Motorists should drive slowly, eliminate all distractions, and stay alert for direction from advanced signage.  

Cottle's Asphalt Maintenance, Inc., of Everett, PA, is the lead contractor for the $788,143.10 project, which includes the complete replacement of an existing galvanized elliptical pipe culvert with a single span Precast reinforced concrete box culvert.
