On behalf of Norfolk Southern Railroad, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is informing drivers of an upcoming road closure and detour in Tipton, Blair County, for railroad crossings maintenance.
Route 4023 (Tipton Road) in Tipton, Blair County, will be closed and detoured for approximately two (2) to three (3) days between Monday, April 27, and Friday, May 1, 2026. The exact dates have not yet been determined, and are dependent on several factors, including track time, equipment issues, and weather.
The Route 4023 (Tipton Road) detour route will use BUS US 220 (Old US 220)/Route 1001 East Pleasant Valley Boulevard and Route 4025 (Grazierville Road).
As always, PennDOT stresses extra caution in all work zones. Drivers should drive slowly, eliminate all distractions, and stay alert for direction from advanced signage and flaggers.
