On behalf of CSX Transportation the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is informing drivers of an upcoming road closure and detour of Route 3047 (2nd Street) in Ursina, Somerset County, for railroad crossing maintenance.
Route 3047 (2nd Street) in Ursina, Somerset County, will be closed and detoured for approximately two (2) to three (3) days between Monday, June 22, and Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Length of the closure is dependent on several factors, including track time, equipment issues, and weather.
The Route 3047 (2nd Street) detour will use Route 281 (Park Street) in Ursina, Oden Street in Confluence, Route 523 (Listonburg Road), and Route 3047 (Hogback Road).
As always, PennDOT stresses extra caution in all work zones. Drivers should drive slowly, eliminate all distractions, and stay alert for direction from advanced signage and flaggers.
