District 9 - Blair County

Delays Continue on Old U.S. 220 / Route 3013 (Dunnings Highway) for Blair Gap Run Bridge and Dry Run Bridge Replacement Projects near Duncansville, Blair County

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is informing drivers of delays on Old U.S. 220 / Route 3013 (Dunnings Highway) south of Duncansville, Blair County, beginning Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

Drivers may experience short delays from lane restrictions and the narrowing of lanes to a 12-foot width on Route 3013 (Dunnings Highway) as contractors begin replacing sewer lines. The project is weather dependent.

An 8.1-mile detour is tentatively scheduled to be in place from Tuesday, June 2, to Tuesday, July 7, 2026, using Route 164 (Woodbury Pike), Route 36 (Charger Highway, Penn Street) to U.S. 22 (Blair Street, Broad Street, Third Avenue) to guide traffic around the project.

Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc., State College, Pa., is the lead contractor for the $5,136,136 project that includes the replacement of both the bridge over Blair Gap Run in Allegheny Township and the bridge on Route 3013 over Dry Run in Blair Township, as well as intersection improvement work, inlet repair, curb upgrades and milling and paving. The project is expected to be completed in October 2026.

As always, PennDOT stresses extra caution in all work zones. Drivers should drive slowly, eliminate all distractions, and stay alert for direction from advanced signage and flaggers.
