District 9 - Bedford County

Short Delays Possible on U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) from T-706 (Scenic Road) to Route 4010 (West Pitt Street) and Route 1033 (Sunnyside Extension) in Bedford County

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is informing drivers of the potential of short, intermittent delays from single-lane restrictions on U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) between Route 4010 (West Pitt Street) and Route 1033 (Sunnyside Extension) in Bedford Borough, Bedford County, over the next two weeks.

From Monday, June 22, to Thursday, July 2, contractors will be patching pavement and installing signs under standard daylight flagging operations with single-lane restrictions on U.S. 30 in Bedford, creating the potential for short delays between three (3) and five (5) minutes.

As always, PennDOT stresses extra caution in all work zones. Drivers should drive slowly, eliminate all distractions, and stay alert for direction from advanced signage and flaggers.

New Enterprise Stone & Lime, New Enterprise, Pa., is the lead contractor for the 3.4-mile, $6,059,067 pavement and bridge restoration project, which is anticipated to be completed on October 14, 2026.
