Somerset County Public Meeting and Plans Displat

Public Meeting and Plans Display for T-719 (Schoolhouse Road) over Brush Creek in Northampton Township, Somerset County Scheduled for October 22

The EADS Group, Inc. (EADS) is presently working with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and Somerset County Commissioners to develop plans for the T-719 (Schoolhouse Road) Bridge Replacement Project Over Brush Creek.

The project consists of replacing the entire structure carrying T-719 (Schoolhouse Road) over Brush Creek in Northampton Township, Somerset County. The new bridge will be placed in the same location with only minor adjustments to the vertical profile. The project will also involve minor roadway approach work including guide rail upgrades and roadway approach paving. The bridge is currently closed, and a detour will remain in place during construction.

A plans display will be held from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Northampton Township Municipal Building and 1647 Glencoe Road, Fairhope, Pa.

The purpose of this plans display is to provide the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed project.  Representatives from EADS, PennDOT and Somerset County will be available to answer questions and receive comments regarding the project.  Anyone with knowledge of historic resources in the project area should attend this meeting.

The plans display location is ADA accessible, and any person requiring special assistance is asked to contact EADS prior to the meeting.  If you require additional information concerning the meeting, please contact Kelly Jones, EADS Project Manager, at (814) 445-6551 or kjones@eadsgroup.com prior to the plans display.
