The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is advising motorists to expect minor delays on Route 22 in Cambria County, beginning the week of October 13, 2025.
RAM Construction Services of Michigan, Inc., Linovia, Michigan, is the contractor for the $3,441,194.14 project for HFST application on Route 56 in Somerset County and Route 22 in Cambria County. HFST typically applied to roadways, including horizontal curves, intersections, and steep grades, to improve grip. The project also includes centerline rumble strips and pavement markings.
Motorists can expect standard daylight flagging operations (weekdays from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM), and delays of up to 15 minutes on Route 22 in Cambria County.
As always, PennDOT stresses extra caution in all work zones. Motorists should drive slowly, eliminate all distractions, and stay alert for direction from advanced signage and flaggers.
