Diesel Fuel Cleanup This Week on SB I-81 in Swatara Township, Lebanon County

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a contractor is scheduled to clean up a diesel fuel spill this week along southbound Interstate 81 in Swatara Township, Lebanon County. The work area is located between the Schuylkill County line (Swopes Valley Road) and Route 72 at Mile Marker 92.9.

Weather permitting, this work will be performed from 8:00 PM Thursday, November 7, to 5:00 AM Friday, November 8. The southbound I-81 left lane and berm will be closed during work hours.

Moderate delays are expected. Motorists should be alert for slow moving traffic, watch for construction vehicles entering and exiting the roadway and drive with caution through the work zone.
