Maintenance crew to patch approaches to bridge over Yellow Breeches Creek at York County/Cumberland County line
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a PennDOT maintenance crew in York County is scheduled to perform concrete patching at the approaches to the southbound Interstate 83 bridge spanning Yellow Breeches Creek at Mile 39.5 at the York County/Cumberland County line.
Weather permitting, this work will be performed the weekend of Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22. Work will be from approximately 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day.
Patching on Saturday will begin in the left (passing) lane. Once this work is completed, the crew will move to the right (driving) lane. This work may be extended to the following weekend (March 28-29), depending on how much progress is made during the initial weekend.
There will be single lane restrictions during work hours. This may cause backups and delays. Travelers are advised to plan more time for their travels or seek alternate routes. Those driving through the work zone are urged to be alert and drive with caution.
