Update: Nighttime Milling and Paving Next Week on Route 41 (Newport Pike) in Salisbury Township, Lancaster County

Expect lane restrictions, delays during work hours

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) alerted travelers today that a nighttime milling and paving operation is scheduled to start Sunday, May 17, on Route 41 (Newport Pike) in Lancaster County. The project limits extend from Route 30 (Lincoln Highway) to Route 741 (Strasburg Road) in Salisbury Township.

Weather permitting, night work will be conducted Sunday through Friday, May 17-22, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Traffic in each direction will be restricted to a single lane with flaggers alternating traffic through the work zone. There may be delays.

New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc., of New Enterprise, PA, is the contractor for this work.

Milling and paving work under this contract will be conducted on Route 283 between Spooky Nook Road and Esbenshade Road after the Memorial Day holiday.
