Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today a PennDOT maintenance crew in Perry County is scheduled to perform deck repairs this Sunday on the Route 34 (Market Street) bridge spanning the Juniata River in Newport Borough.
Weather permitting, work will be performed Sunday, March 15. Work will begin at approximately 7:00 AM. There will be lane restrictions under flagging during work hours.
Monday, March 16, will be the backup day should the work be delayed due to inclement weather or not completed on Sunday.
Travelers should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
