Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that pavement patching is scheduled for this Thursday (Feb. 12) on Route 30 in Hellam Township, York County. This work is part of a resurfacing project on Route 30 from just west of the Route 462/Hallam Exit to the Wrights Ferry bridge spanning the Susquehanna River.
Weather permitting, pavement patching will be performed on both directions of Route 30 throughout the project limits from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Thursday, February 12. Patching will begin in the eastbound direction then switch to the westbound direction.
There will be lane restrictions and rolling stops during work hours. This may cause delays.
This resurfacing project consists of milling, asphalt resurfacing, base repair, concrete paving, concrete patching, drainage improvements, guiderail updates, line painting, sign updates, structure repairs and other miscellaneous construction on Route 30 (Arsenal Road) from just west of the Route 462/Hallam Exit to the Wrights Ferry Bridge spanning the Susquehanna River.
Milling and paving on eastbound and west bound Route 30 will take place during the 2026/2027 construction season.
New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc., of New Enterprise, PA, is the contractor on this $15,475,000 project.
All work on this contract is expected to be completed by December 21, 2027.
