    PennDOT Bridge Cleaning, Repairs Continue on I-83 and Route 30 in York County

    Expect delays; lane restrictions this week from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

    Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a PennDOT maintenance crew in York County is scheduled to conduct cleaning and minor repairs next week on Interstate 83 and Route 30 bridges in York County.

    Weather permitting, this work will be performed from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day. There will be single-lane restrictions at each location during work hours.

    Monday, April 27, and Tuesday, April 28, work will be conducted on the I-83 bridge over Codorus Creek in Spring Garden Township and North York Borough. Crews will work in the southbound right lane on Monday then in the northbound right lane on Tuesday.

    Wednesday, April 29, and Thursday, April 30, work will be conducted on the Route 30 bridge over Codorus Creek in Springettsbury and Manchester townships. Crews will work in the westbound right lane on Wednesday then in the eastbound right lane on Thursday.

    Saturday, May 2, and Sunday, May 3, work will be conducted on the I-83 bridge over Yellow Breeches Creek in Fairview and Lower Allen townships at the York-Cumberland County Line. Crews will work in the northbound right lane on Saturday then in the southbound right lane on Sunday.

    These operations may cause backups and delays. Travelers are advised to plan more time for their travels or seek alternate routes. Those driving through the work zone are urged to be alert and drive with caution.
