    Bridge Painting Continues Next Saturday on Navy-Owned Structure spanning Route 641 (East Trindle Road) in Hampden Township, Cumberland County

    Tomorrow’s work has been rescheduled due to the forecast for rain; A closure is now set for Saturday, Aug. 22 from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

    Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a detour is planned for next Saturday (August 22) on East Trindle Road (Route 641) in Hampden Township, Cumberland County, so a contractor can finish painting the Navy-owned bridge spanning the road on the east side of the intersection with Trudy Circle.

    This work was expected to be completed tomorrow, Sunday, August 16, but was rescheduled due to the forecast for rain.

    Weather permitting, East Trindle Road will be closed from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Saturday, August 22.

    Access to residences and businesses will be maintained during this operation. However, the road will be closed to thru traffic at the bridge. A detour will be in place using Sheely Lane, Simpson Ferry Road and St. Johns Church Road.

    Trudy Circle will remain open but traffic from Trudy Circle to East Trindle Road will be restricted to left turns only.

    Travelers may also encounter daytime traffic shifts, as well. A press release will be issued prior to any closures.
