Concrete Patching, Spall Repairs Scheduled on Route 283 in Lancaster County

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that concrete patching and spall repairs are scheduled on Route 283 in Lancaster County. The work limits are from Esbenshade Road in Rapho Township to State Road (Route 722) in East Hempfield Township.

Weather permitting, this work will be performed from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the night of Sunday, October 26, through the night of Thursday, October 30, then continue during the same hours Monday through Thursday nights for about three more weeks after that. Sunday nights will be reserved for backup (rain) dates.

Work will begin in the eastbound direction then switch to the westbound direction. One lane of traffic will be maintained in the direction work is being performed in. 

New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc., of New Enterprise, PA, is the contractor for this work.
