Traffic Restrictions Lifted on SB I-83 (South) Bridge in Dauphin County

Harrisburg, PA The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that lane and shoulder restrictions in place on the southbound Interstate 83 John Harris Memorial (South) Bridge spanning the Susquehanna River between Dauphin and Cumberland counties have been lifted.

The restrictions were implemented on Thursday, November 13, so emergency steel repairs could be performed. Southbound I-83 is now open to unrestricted traffic.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
