Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that sign structures on Interstate 81 in Dauphin County are scheduled to be inspected in December.
Weather permitting, inspections will be performed on I-81 between 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM Monday, December 8, and Tuesday, December 9. There will be mobile shoulder/lane closures on northbound and southbound I-81 between Exit 65 (Route 11/15/Marysville/Enola) and Exit 66 (Front Street).
This work previously was scheduled for Monday, November 24, but was rescheduled so traffic would not be impacted Thanksgiving week.
Additional dates will be added for inspections on Route 322 between Waltonville Road and Hershey Park Drive. An updated press release will be issued when those dates are determined.
All dates are weather dependent and subject to change.
Motorists should be alert, watch for changing traffic patterns and slow-moving vehicles and drive with caution through the area.
