Line Painting Tomorrow on NB Route 15 Near Gettysburg

Work also includes line painting at Route 116, Route 30 and Route 394 exits

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that line painting is scheduled for tomorrow on northbound Route 15 near Gettysburg.

Weather permitting, line painting will be performed during daylight hours tomorrow, Tuesday, July 29, on northbound Route 15 from the Route 116 (Hanover Street) Exit to the Route 394 (Hunterstown) Exit.

Work includes applying pavement markings on the northbound Route 15 mainline, the

Route 116 on-ramp to northbound Route 15, and the northbound Route 15 on- and off-ramps at the Route 30 (York Road) and Route 394 (Hunterstown) exits.

There will be right lane closures on Route 15 and traffic shifts on the ramps during work hours. The ramps will remain open.

Ramp work will require the off-ramps to be shifted northward closer to the exits. This traffic pattern will include signs to direct motorists to the appropriate exit location.

This work is part of a 14.8-mile pavement preservation project that includes diamond grinding, milling and overlaying ramps and shoulders, guide rail replacement, pipe replacement, and other miscellaneous activities on Route 15 in Freedom, Cumberland, Mounty Joy and Straban townships, Adams County.

Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the road crews.

New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc., of New Enterprise, PA, is the contractor on this $ 8,318,599 project.
