Deck Repairs Planned on I-283 Bridge to NB I-83 in Dauphin County

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a PennDOT maintenance crew in Dauphin County is scheduled to perform deck repairs on the bridge carrying northbound Interstate 283 to northbound Interstate 83 in Swatara Township.

Weather permitting, this work will be performed from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM Saturday, October 25, and Sunday, October 26. A detour will be in place during work hours.

Northbound I-283 traffic should exit to eastbound Route 322, proceed east and exit to Pen-Har Drive, follow Pen-Har Drive back to westbound Route 322, then proceed west on Route 322 to northbound I-83.

Travelers should be alert and drive with caution.
