Martic Heights Drive Bridge in Martic Township, Lancaster County, is Open to Traffic

Bridge is the second of a two-bridge contract

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Martic Heights Drive (Route 3018) bridge spanning a tributary to Tucquan Creek between Creamery Road and Steinman Farm Road in Martic Township, Lancaster County, is open to traffic.

The bridge was closed in August for replacement. The detour associated with the closure has been lifted.

This work consists of the replacing the existing slab structure with a precast concrete box culvert, approach reconstruction, new signs and guiderail updates.

This bridge is the second of a two-bridge contract that also includes replacing the Bridge Valley Road (Route 3038) bridge spanning an unnamed tributary to the Susquehanna River in Martic Township. The bridge was closed in late June and opened in September.

JVI Group, Inc., of York Springs, PA, is the contractor on this $1,996,224 project.
