Emmitsburg Road Bridge Spanning Route 15 Near Gettysburg in Adams County is Open to Traffic

Bridge closed for repairs in early August; detour lifted

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Emmitsburg Road (Route 3001) bridge spanning northbound and southbound Route 15 at the Bus 15/Steinwehr Avenue Exit near Gettysburg in Freedom Township, Adams County, is open to traffic.

The bridge was closed in early August for repairs. A detour associated with this work has been lifted. Lane restrictions on northbound Route 15 that were in place at the bridge during the repairs have also been removed.

New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co., Inc., of New Enterprise, PA is the contactor for this work.
