Blasting to occur for commercial development
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that rolling stops are planned for Friday, August 22, and Monday, August 25 on Interstate 81 near Shippensburg, Franklin County. The rolling stops will be in place as a safety precaution for blasting activities associated with a commercial development near Exit 24 (Route 696/Fayetteville).
Weather permitting, there will be rolling stops of up to 15 minutes in both directions of I-81 approaching the exit at approximately 1:00 PM each day.
Motorists should be alert and watch for stopped or slow-moving traffic.
