King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PECO Energy will be performing utility construction on several state highways in Bucks and Chester counties.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Bucks County
- Friday, July 14, through Thursday, September 14, a weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 179 (Bridge Street) at the intersection with Kiltie Drive in New Hope Borough.
Chester County
- Monday, July 17, through Friday, July 28, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on southbound U.S. 202 (Wilmington Pike) at the intersection with Brintons Bridge Road in Birmingham Township; and
- Monday, July 24, through Friday, September 29, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, Conestoga Road will be closed and detoured weekdays between Cassatt Road and Old State Road in Tredyffrin Township. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Howellville Road, Old Lancaster Road, and U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue). Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
