King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PBI Fiber, LLC. will perform a utility improvement next weekend on eastbound and westbound U.S. 422 in Upper Merion and West Norriton townships, Montgomery County.
Weather permitting, drivers are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Sunday, February 8, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, two 10-minute full stoppages will occur on U.S. 422 in both directions between the Route 363 (Trooper Road) and Route 23 (North Gulph Road) interchanges.
Drivers are advised to use an alternate route or allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.
PBI Fiber, LLC. will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
Drivers can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
