Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that tree and planter installations will occur at night next week on westbound I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) in Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, May 11, through Thursday, May 14, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, westbound I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) will be closed and detoured between the South Street off-ramp (Exit 346A) and the South Street on-ramp to westbound I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway). During the closure, motorists will be directed to exit at South Street (Exit 346A) and travel straight through the intersection onto the ramp to westbound I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway).
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area or along the detour route because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
